Lionel 226E-37E Eccentric Crank Screw - Early 3-48 (Pair) - The 226E-37E eccentric crank screw is the second of the three 226E-37 type screws Lionel issued during their manufacturing history and it is used in in a number of Lionel locomotives. Technically there is no such part number 226E-37E, we added the "E" to enable our customers to distinguish between the versions. The screw shown is a blackened flat head phillips screw with 3-48 threads that is threaded half way to the head of the screw. Aside from late prewar use, it is also used in a number of postwar locomotives. There are also two other versions of this screw, a prewar nickel version that has a hex head and is nickel plated, PN 226E-37N and one used during the later postwar period that has 6-32 thread. The eccentric screw shown is difficult to locate and expensive when found in old inventories.
