Lionel 2333-14 Celluloid Porthole Lens (Set of 8) - The 2333-14 celluloid porthole lens is the first of 4 porthole lens types developed by Lionel during the postwar period for their F3 locomotives. The 2333-14 porthole lens is made of celluloid and during production of the first 2333 F3 units, they were pressed into place by machine. These are not the flat lenses sold by the reproduction houses, these have a dimple, which caused them to be referred to as a fisheye lens. Lionel later replaced these with part number 2333-167 with a round extension at the rear of the lens that was crimped after installation to prevent them from falling out.  During production of the 2343, the lens was changed again, and became part number 2343-133. The last change occurred during the manufacture of the 2353, when Lionel redesigned the porthole - part number 2353-11. The 2353-11 was used right through to the end of production of the 2356.
