Lionel 726M-1X Gold Seal High Stack Motor with Red Brush Plate - These motors were used exclusively in the 1946 version of the 726 Berkshire and replaced during the later part of 1946 by the 726M-41 motor manufactured without the high stack field and armature. These motors deliver more torque than the basic motor and tend to run cooler. This particular motor ships with the rare red brush plate as shown or you can purchase one with a very rare green/black marbled brush plate or one with the basic black brush plate. Later the 726 frame was redesigned to accommodate the slanted 671M-1 motor.
