Lionel 238E-11 Crosshead - The 238E-11 crosshead was developed during the prewar period for the 238E streamlined locomotive. It was also used on many of Lionel's late prewar and early postwar locomotives. During the early postwar period it was used on Lionel's 726 Berkshire. There are two versions of the 238E crosshead, the 238E-11 and the 238E-32. Although it had a higher numerical part number, the 238E-32 was the earlier design and top of the crosshead is closed. The later 238E-11 crosshead is open at the top, similar to the 726-66 crosshead.
