Lionel 726-94 Smokestack - The 726-94 smokestack was the second of two smokestacks developed by Lionel for its Berkshire line of locomotives. The first smokestack was part number 726-7, and was only used on the 1946 version of the 726 Berkshire. The 726-7 is longer because early Berkshires were equipped with a smoke bulb as opposed to the later smoke generator. In 1947 Lionel upgraded its Berkshire line to replace the smoke bulb with a smoke generator, and the smokestack needed to be shorter. It is made of aluminum and is installed by gently tapping it into the boiler shell. This smoke stack was also part of the conversion kit issued by Lionel to convert the 1946 version of the 726 from a smoke bulb to a smoke generator. These smoke stacks came in silver and black.
